Characteristics of Model Growth And Mortality of White Shrimp (Penaeus merguiensis de Man 1888) in The Estuaria of Bengara, Regency Bulungan

Abstract White shrimp is one of the catches fishermen using fishing gear in Sekatak Bengara Estuary area, Bulungan Regency which has a fairly high economic value ranging from Rp. 28.000-Rp. 40.000,-. The purpose this study was to analyze characteristics growth and mortality model white ( P.merguiensis ) Estuary, Regency. research method uses descriptive quantitative methods. Sampling used nets with purposive sampling results showed that total 2253 samples 750 male smallest size 53mm (age 13 days) largest 129mm (aged 62 days), while female sample 1503 tails 55mm 18 days). 123mm (110 days old) sex ratio 1.0:2.0. negative allometry dominant body shape being thin having fat shape. von Bertalanffy maximum length 151.894 mm (451 speed 0.03mm/day correlation 64.29% 128.01mm (452 rate 0.052mm/day 80.07%. obtained 101.17% 100.9%; catch 50.75% 67.81%; natural 50.41% 33.09%; exploitation rates 50.17% 67.2%, respectively.
